Presentation
My research examines the relationship between policy and practice in the production and implementation of development policies in African drylands. The research project that I am proposing focuses on the interactions between public policies and social and political crises in the Sahel through the prism of pastoralism, a practice that is emblematic of the disconnect and friction between political models, production systems and Sahelian environments.
